Snowed in and all congested

So I can count on 2 fingers how many times Isaiah and I have left the house this week...2 TIMES and one of those included the dr's office! And now we are snowed in. uGHHH Can you say stir crazy!
Isaiah had strep throat at the beginning of the week and let me tell you it was P-i-t-i-f-u-l. It was so hard to see him in that much pain! We took him in to the doctor on Tuesday and once we got the meds in him he is doing a lot better. But now he is so congested and at his age there is not much to do for that....any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
We had a big storm hit on Thursday so now we are trapped in the house. I really wanted to get out today but decided that was not the best for Isaiah so I decided to be a wise mommy and stay in..AGAIN! I am hoping to get out tomorrow though.
Last weekend we had some family pictures done and here is a preview....

No clue where he gets his personality!

Isaiah has become such a ham lately. He cracks us up all the time. He is really on the move these days so I have found the best time for pictures is when he is in his highchair eating. This child LOVES to eat! haha
Here are some cute pictures I got the other day.

Look at that smile! I think this is the first time I have ever gotten a full on smile with all his teeth!

He gets very excited when he eats!

This last one is KyKy. She comes and hangs out with us after school and I am not kidding this is Isaiah's favorite part of the day. He is all smiles when she is here. As you can see in the picture he is quite enamored with his KyKy.

Hope everyone is having a great Thursday!

He's so close..

Isaiah has been really trying to walk lately. He will hold onto my hands (or anyone who will walk with him) and just take off. He is good at walking as long as he has someone's hand or can hold onto some furniture.
Exhibit A:

Trying to get to Adrian before she runs off!

I am busy trying to plan his first birthday party. I want to do a lot of it myself as far as decorations go, so I foresee a lot of trips to Hobby Lobby. I love that place! I have decided to go with an airplane theme so hopefully the decorations turn out cute! We are going to have just a small party with family and a few friends his age.
That is all we are up to for now. Remember less words more pictures!
Playing with his new house that his Aunt Kimmy got him

Playing in the tupperware

Being silly. This is his new face--just picture him screaming as loud as he can and smiling at the same time. It is really funny!

Come back soon for more happenings of Isaiah!

And we're back!

Happy 2010! Sorry for the long break in blogging just got busy around here and the thought of trying to catch up was too overwhelming! So we are going to start out fresh with the new year. There is no way I can catch everyone up on the last 6 months but I will do a quick recap.

August 2009~ family trip to Destin, Florida. We had a blast and Isaiah did awesome. He loved the beach.

October~ Isaiah's first Halloween. Anyone who knows Gabe well should not have to make many guesses as to what Isaiah was. Every superhero needs a sidekick so Isaiah filled that roll and was Robin and Gabe donned his Batman get-up.

November~Isaiah's first Thanksgiving was spent in Nashville with his Gramps and MiMa (Gabe's parents). We drove and met them there (it is the half way point and Gabe's brother Joel lives there).

December~ Isaiah's first Christmas. We had a white Christmas which is very uncommon in this area so it was a bit wacky around here. Isaiah got TONS of new toys and we are just now getting them all put away. He was a tad overwhelmed with everything but he loved all the family time.

That catches us up to January. Isaiah is almost 11 months old and he is such a joy to be around. He makes Gabe and I laugh everyday. He has really started to let his little personality shine. He still makes sure you know when he wants something and will let you know until you give in to his demands. I have really been working with him and trying to tell him about patience. For some reason an 11 month old just doesn't get it! ha
I am going to try and be better about updating the blog but in the future it will probably be alot of pictures and just quick little catch ups. Thanks for checking in with us!
